Election of DSWA Office Bearers
Nominations are now being sought for the election of officer bearers and elected members to the DSWA Management Committee.  A nomination form is available here or from the office.  The form should be duly completed, signed and returned to the DSWA no later than Friday 24 September.

 Calendar for 2011
A calendar depicting dry stone walls in the landscape has been produced for 2011.  Examples from around the world are shown each month with space to write in each day.  The cover can be viewed here.  The calendars are A4 in size and will be available from the DSWA office from mid September, priced at £5 plus packing and postage (£1.50 for UK addresses).

 International Dry Stone Walling Congress
The Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain (DSWA) is hosting the biennial International Dry Stone Walling Congress from 4-6 September 2010 at the University of Cumbria’s Ambleside campus.  Details of the congress will be posted on the special Congress Events page as plans develop.   A copy of the programme is available here.

Some years ago the DSWA negotiated a scheme with Yorkshire Tea whereby collecting their tokens gave the DSWA 25p per token and in this way over £1000 has been raised.

Originally we collected tea tokens but the system has been changed and we now have our own collection system, being the bar codes from the bottom of the boxes. A special sheet has been produced for these to be stuck on to as they are collected, a copy of which can be downloaded here. Your completed sheets should be sent to the office. Alternatively, you can continue to send individual bar codes to the office without having to wait until you have a completed card. We will have collecting sheets here.

Please encourage your friends and family to help with the collecting as it is a very useful source of funds for the Association. If you still have any of the old style tokens, please send them to the office as soon as possibly so that we do not lose out now the system has changed.

Keep drinking that tea!
