Leonardo Project 2012-2014

The Dry Stone Walling Association is a partner in a European Lifelong Learning programme, which has secured funding under the Leonardo Partnerhsip Grant Agreement.  Working with colleagues in France, Italy and Spain the project will offer wallers from each country to work with other wallers, learning different techniques and using different types of stone.  Visits to each of the countries will take place, during which time practical work will be undertaken as well as visits to sites of historical interest.  To date, two overseas visits have been held, the details of which are shown below.  The DSWA Examiner Standardisation event in April also played host to colleagues from the other partner organisations as part of the training programme within the project.  The next visit will be to Andalusia in October.
