Certificate of Merit for National Memorial

Posted on

A memorial commemorating the Rhodesian African Rifles has been awarded a Certificate of Merit under the DSWA Pinnacle Award Scheme.  The memorial, located at the National Memorial Arboretum, was commissioned by the Regimental Association and designed by Robert Cross, taking inspiration from the ruined walls of Great Zimbabwe which were originally built in the 14th century.  The memorial was built by DSWA members Chris Ingles, Nick Sutton and Tim Righton and the presentation was made at the Countryfile Live event in Oxfordshire.  Congratulations are extended to everyone who was involved in this emotive project.
